OPINION: DreamWorks Animation Out of Control
The CG animation studio DreamWorks Animation is run by a far left guy named Jeffrey Katzenberg, who voted for Barack Obama in both the 2008 and 2012 elections, and sometimes uses his company’s movies to promote his progressive point of view. Their most recent film, How to Train Your Dragon 2, comes to theatres in June of this year. In the sequel to the 2010 film, the character Gobbler the Belch, played by Craig Ferguson, has been confirmed by the studio to come out as gay; this marks two movies in the recent decade to have one of their major characters “come out”, the first being 2012’s stop-motion ParaNorman.
That is simply defamatory and outrageous, and Jeffrey Katzenberg is a coward for putting that out there, not to mention he is now making a decision to indoctrinate his studio’s young viewers. Don’t get me wrong, I feel sympathetic to the gay community. As a Christian, I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman, but at the same time, gay couples are also allowed to live in a union as well. Most gays and lesbians (at least the few I’ve met) are good people. They are courteous, they are Christian or Catholic, and all they want are the same rights heterosexuals have. However, I do have a beef with militant gays (i.e. Dan Savage, Perez Hilton) who try to impose their views on other people.
Again, Jeffrey Katzenberg, the president and CEO of DreamWorks Animation, is a despicable human being for exploiting this very complicated issue towards younger audiences, especially in what’s supposed to be a family film! I mean, enough is enough with these Hollywood elites who push propaganda down our throats under the guise of entertainment. This is why Disney and Pixar earn my respect, most of the people who work at both companies are Obama supporters, but they “shut up and sing”, in other words, they entertain others instead of ranting about liberal causes.
I can’t tell you how angry I am about this DreamWorks Animation deal. I’ve seen disgusting examples of Hollywood indoctrinating our children (i.e. garbage on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, and the two theatrical Happy Feet films), but this is just the lowest. No parent should be supporting an enterprise that pushes its progressive point of view down the throats of the American public. But again, enough is enough. I’m calling out Jeffrey Katzenberg.
