OPINION: The Murder of Alison Parker and Adam Ward

You may have heard about the murder of Virginia news reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward, who both worked for the TV station WDBJ. If you’ve been watching The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News, you’ve probably seen the Talking Points memo in the beginning of the program which said the story was not covered fairly by the broadcast networks. CBS actually said that wanting guns in itself was a mental disorder, not popular entertainment such as video games and movies. Now, were seeing reports that the killer who then committed suicide is Vector Flanagan (a.k.a. Bryce Williams), a gay African-American. CNN anchor Don Lemon pointed out on a radio program that objectively, the rampage was racist. You can’t take that away, but you will never see any of the broadcast networks report that.

So, my question is this, is anybody at ABC responsible for the murder of these two innocent human beings? After all, they have bashed Christianity and conservatism many times through “news” shows like Good Morning America, primetime dramas like Scandaland so-called “comedies” like the short-lived GCB (Good Christian B**ches) and they have a new sitcom in development based on the life of anti-Christian bigot Dan Savage of all people. Not to mention they incite how “black people don’t vote Republican” in shows like BlackishDidn’t ABC incite Williams to kill Parker and Ward?

The answer is they did not. Flanagan is a deranged psychopath, and the media had absolutely nothing to do with it. However, the situation with Parker and Ward will not be heavily debated on ABC News because they are not interested in the truth or equal opportunity accountability on both sides. Not to mention they’ve already shown they were sympathetic to the killer. David Muir is a gigantic problem for the network. Last Thursday as the anchor and managing editor of World News Tonight, he allowed a correspondent to highlight Donald Trump as a racist for opposing illegal immigration. I’m no fan of Trump, but if a Democrat said something opposed to Christianity, the network would praise that person. Muir takes his orders directly from Disney-ABC Television Group chief Ben Sherwood, a committed liberal who has completely destroyed the ABC brand name, as well as its sister stations including ABC Family and Disney Channel. Because of him, ABC is now in second place as the most far-left outfit in the history of broadcasting behind NBC. The so-called ABC Family also has “edgy” leftist propaganda as well.

There is absolutely no question that the entirety of the ABC network (outside of a few exceptions like Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing and the seasonal Peanuts specials) is totally out of control. Remember, ABC has never said a negative word about issues such as abortion or illegal immigration. With the former, the Center for Medical Progress, an anti-abortion organization, has created eight videos exposing Planned Parenthood for the evil organization they are, but you will never see them on ABC News. The blame, once again, falls on Sherwood. Bob Iger, the CEO of The Walt Disney Company who I highly admire, has made a huge mistake in appointing him as the head of Disney-ABC. Sherwood is using both his news and entertainment operations to promote liberal causes. This is in stark contrast to their theme park operations and feature animated works, who still do fantastic movies the entire family can enjoy.

In light of ABC using its operations to promote far-left causes, I am encouraging Mr. Iger to fire Sherwood for destroying a once-great television network. He worked so hard to fix the Disney brand by acquiring the Pixar studio and spreading its family-friendly culture into a then-stagnating Walt Disney Animation Studios. Not to mention the theme parks are still on a mission to keep families together at a time when they’re stagnating. Sherwood is destroying Iger’s reputation as well as the reputation of the Disney brand name, and all of ABC’s misdeeds are on him, and I’m sure even Pixar veteran John Lasseter is angry at the network too. With that said, this is also a time to let all of us know that journalists are human beings too. All they want to do is their jobs, and these two great people loved what they did. We need to respect their lives, because we may never know when some deranged lunatic might be coming at our doorstep to take our life for no reason.
