ABC Once Again Rises Up to Help Hillary Clinton
I’ve pointed out numerous times in my writings that ABC, owned by The Walt Disney Company, has been favorable to the Democratic party, including Hillary Clinton ever since she announced her presidential campaign last year. Now, she’s being investigated by the FBI once again, and even Democrats are beginning to see her true colors. The turmoil with her emails began back in May, but people like George Stephanopoulos – who used to work for the Clintons – have continued to downplay this bombshell story that could affect her campaign should the FBI indict her.
There is no question that the e-mail chaos continues to hurt Clinton, even if she is more favorable than Sanders as the Democratic candidate. ABC to the rescue! The network, through both its newscasts, pundits, and late-night program, continues to use its power to play her up, downplay her e-mail controversy, and attack her critics as sexist:
COKIE ROBERTS, ABC NEWS CONTRIBUTOR: You know, what I took out of that story, a big story about the FBI and all of that, was that 147 FBI agents are focused on this? I mean, don’t they have other problems that they should be? —
JIMMY KIMMEL, HOST OF JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE: Over the last several months, we’ve learned a lot about you. I think more than anything we learned that your emails are very boring…
HILLARY CLINTON: I’m told that.
KIMMEL: I know you think of your husband as your secret weapon. But I have something– I feel like I’m going to be your secret weapon now because I’m going to help you win this election, no problem. Are you familiar with “mansplaining?” Do you know what that is?
CLINTON: Yeah, that’s when a man explains something to a woman in a patronizing way.
KIMMEL: Actually, it’s when a man explains something to a woman in a condescending way. But you were close.
It also should be mentioned that they are also developing a sitcom aimed at trashing Fox News as I reported earlier this year. Now, there’s something very disturbing about a mainstream television network owned by a major company like Disney using its airwaves to brand regular Americans as bigots, sexists, and whatnot all because they oppose the network’s far-left worldview and think Hillary Clinton has gotten herself into hot water. As a lifelong Disney fan – not to mention a stockholder in The Walt Disney Company, I have never even seen ABC act this way before even though I began to see them turn to the left in 2012. Think about this, people seriously believe that Clinton has done something with her e-mails that could get her into serious legal trouble, and an established broadcast network owned by a powerful corporation (in this case, Disney) demonizes the very people being critical of Clinton. Unbelievable, isn’t it? Along with that, their entertainment division also demonizes Christians and conservatives through sitcoms like the failing freshman show The Real O’Neals and hit drama shows like Scandal and Quantico. The general public is noticing too. This past March, the Freeform network (formerly ABC Family), the most radical-left of all of ABC’s cable channels was down 43% in total audience, while Hallmark Channel – a family-oriented network majority-owned by Kansas City-based Hallmark Cards – was up 20%. In terms of original series, Hallmark Channel’s popular show When Calls the Heart was up 66% in the key 18-49 demo, while Freeform’s The Fosters was down 27%.
However, it’s not just ABC going after anybody who doesn’t tow the liberal line and/or opposes Hillary Clinton, The Huffington Post gave actress and far-left zealot Barbra Streisand a platform to say this:
There is no one in this country who would deny the competence, intellect, stamina, warmth and courage of Hillary Rodham Clinton… But the criticism of Hillary Clinton has again demonstrated that the strong, competent woman is still a threatening figure in our culture….A man who graduated high in his class at Yale Law School and made partnership in a top law firm would be celebrated. But a woman who accomplishes this is treated with suspicion…
Of course, she is trying to put words in Clinton’s opponents’ mouths. The Huffington Post should be ashamed of themselves for giving a radical Hollywood zealot like Barbra Streisand a platform to spew out the nonsense she did. The battle lines have been drawn now as we get into the most intense presidential campaign in years. Hillary Clinton has the power of her foundation, and most of the media behind her. Middle America just has itself. We’ll see who prevails when the election finally comes and tells us which candidate won the presidency.
