COLUMN: Disney-ABC’s Decline Continues

It’s a story that continues to embarrass The Walt Disney Company and affect its bottom line greatly. The Disney-ABC Television Group continues to use its ABC network as well as cable networks like ESPN, Disney Channel and Freeform to push far-left propaganda onto the masses.

In the case of ESPN, the uber-liberal New York Times reports that they have recently announced layoffs that will affect more than 150 employees.  That’s what happens when you shove politics down the throats of sports fans everywhere. As repeatedly stated, ESPN is just one of many reasons Disney’s television arm is in serious trouble.

According to Breitbart, the Disney Channel’s boy-centered sister network – Disney XD – has decided to push another controversial issue among its young audience in the show Star vs. The Forces of Evil, which I have written about earlier this year. A recent episode features the main male character Marco Diaz disguising himself as Princess Turdina in an effort to save a group of female students. Entertainment Weekly talks about this in more detail:

On a recent episode of Star vs. The Forces of Evil, the character of Marco Diaz (voiced by Adam McArthur) disguised himself as Princess Turdina to help save the students at St. Olga’s Reform School for Wayward Princesses from Ms. Heinous, the wicked headmistress.

Marco is about to reveal his truth to the students when Ms. Heinous storms in and outs him herself, pulling down his shirt to reveal a strand of chest hair. But the other princesses stand by Marco’s side.

Marco gets exposed later on in the episode, and he ends up getting full support from the students, with them saying such things as, “That doesn’t prove anything! Princesses can be hairy!”, and “He can be a princess if he wants to!” In other words, being a princess is a ‘state of mind.’

Here is a full clip from that episode:

Maybe the episode was done as a joke, similar to the cross-dressing jokes seen in the classic Looney Tunes cartoons from Warner Bros. That’s fine.

However, there is no doubt that this cartoon has been used by creator Daron Nefsy to push a progressive point of view before, and on a children’s program no doubt. Keep in mind, this is the same show that has had multiple gay and lesbian couples kiss at once which – to be fair – no child might have seen or paid attention to.

All of this is, once again, is thanks to Disney-ABC Television Group chief Ben Sherwood and Disney Channel’s chief creative officer Gary Marsh (the latter being a hardcore Hillary Clinton supporter back in 2016). Both of whom have completely destroyed the television division by using it to push a left-wing agenda.

Neither Pixar nor Walt Disney Animation Studios would do garbage like this, maybe that’s why left-wing sources like The Hollywood Reporter and Vanity Fair are now trying to assassinate the character of the chief creative officer of both studios – John Lasseter. In other words, they’re trying to take the sexual harassment and rape allegations against the likes of Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Charlie Rose, and other Hollywood and news media types (including some on our side of the isle to some extent) out on him for revenge.

To go back to Disney XD…there is no excuse to socially engineer children as young as that channel’s audience, as well as that of sister network Disney Channel. There’s nothing wrong with LGBT-themed content, as we have rightfully become more accepting to the LGBT community since the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges hearing at the U.S. Supreme Court. But, when it goes as far as beating the dead horse in front of an audience as young as 10, that is where things go too far.

The chickens will come home to roost for Disney-ABC’s cable and broadcast operations, and it will happen financially. It’s already happened with ESPN, and it could spread to other parts of the media networks operation too.

Count on it.
